According to me science is the best option as it has broad courses to choose, even if the student wish to move to any field related to commerce or management in the later part he/she might choose the course accordingly while planning for their degree but those who have done commerce in their puc do not have the option to choose science in the later part. Also most of the commerce jobs are taken over by AI whereas it cannot take over jobs related to science for example: Doctor, nurse, food scientist, psychiatrist, civil, mechanical engineer and many more. Taking up science in puc has more pros than taking up commerce. ~ Santosh S

Choosing between Science and Commerce in PUC depends on what kind of future child wants to become or intrest in.... SCIENCE (PCMB / PCMC / PCB) Best for careers Engineering/Medicine/ IT / Software/Research/Data Science: Most flexible stream you can shift to Commerce later if needed Opens maximum career options High-paying and global opportunities Can write exams like JEE, NEET, KCET COMMERCE (CEBA / SEBA / HEBA) Best for careers in:CA/Business / MBA Finance/Banking/Marketing/Entrepreneurship: Easier to manage compared to Science Direct path to business & finance careers Good for people interested in management, startups. So if child is Good in Maths & Science Choose Science Interested in business / money / accounts Choose Commerce So, Go for Science (PCMC or PCMB) Because You can later switch to Commerce fields like MBA, business, marketing But Commerce students cannot switch to Engineering/Medical if needed so for further and more real-time opportunity and exploration science is best . ~ Poornima K
